Colocate your servers the easy way

Rack your own hardware in our Coventry data centre, on a network built for uptime. Start with a single 1U server or take a custom footprint, with resilient power, always-on DDoS protection and our team on site to be your hands when you need them.

  • UK Coventry data centre
  • From 1U to a full rack
  • N+1 power & cooling
  • Always-on DDoS protection
  • Remote hands support
  • 24/7/365 onsite security

Your hardware. Our data centre.

Colocation gives you the control of owning your own servers without owning a building to put them in. You keep the hardware, the specification and the operating system exactly as you want it; we provide the rack space, the resilient power, the network and the people on site.

We have colocated servers at our Coventry facility since 2008, alongside our own fleet. That means your kit sits on the same network, behind the same always-on DDoS protection, and is looked after by the same team that runs our platform.

Two ways to colocate

Start with a single server on a fixed monthly price, or tell us what you need and we will build the footprint around it.

1U Colocation

A single server, simply hosted

The straightforward option: bring one 1U server, and everything below is included from day one on a fixed monthly price.

  • Up to 0.4 amps of power included
  • 10TB monthly data transfer
  • 1x IPv4 address
  • 1Gb/s network port
  • Server management via DCIManager
£49.00 per month (ex VAT)

Custom Colocation

Multiple servers up to a full rack

Growing past a single box, or arriving with a rack of kit? We will price the power, transfer and connectivity around what you actually run.

  • Up to 2 amps of power
  • Up to 100TB monthly data transfer
  • IPv4 subnets
  • Up to 10Gb/s network port
  • IPMI or DCIManager server management

Tell us what you need

Need something outside these limits? More power, extra IPv4 or IPv6 address space, or higher monthly transfer on a high-bandwidth connection are all available. Ask us and we will quote it.

Colocating servers at the same UK facility

What you get with the rack space

Colocation is only as good as the building and the people around it. Here is what surrounds your hardware.

Power that stays on

N+1 UPS protection carries the load the moment mains power dips, and diesel generators take over if it stays down. Evaporative cooling keeps the hall at temperature without wasting energy.

Remote hands

You do not need to drive to Coventry to press a button. Our team is on site to reseat a drive, swap a cable or power-cycle a machine, and DCIManager or your own IPMI gives you console access from anywhere.

A protected network

Your servers sit behind the same always-on DDoS protection as the rest of our platform, with IPv4 and IPv6 address space available and no charge for filtering.

Lockable quarter-rack cabinets in our Coventry data centre

Inside the Coventry facility

We have worked with the same Midlands data centre since 2008. It runs at a PUE of 1.19, which means for every 1MW of IT load only 1.19MW of power is drawn in total, making it one of the more energy-efficient facilities in the UK.

That efficiency comes from evaporative cooling, advanced lighting and efficient power distribution rather than from cutting resilience: the site still runs N+1 144kW APC Symmetra PX UPS systems, backup diesel generators and 24/7/365 onsite security.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 1U package includes the rack space, up to 0.4 amps of power, 10TB of monthly data transfer, one IPv4 address, a 1Gb/s network port and server management through DCIManager. Always-on DDoS protection is included as standard, as it is on every service we run. Custom footprints are quoted the same way, with the power, transfer and connectivity sized to what you actually run.

Each package comes with a stated power allocation: 0.4 amps on the 1U package, and up to 2 amps on a custom footprint. Power is the thing most likely to catch you out, so tell us the real draw of your hardware rather than the sticker rating on the PSU and we will size it properly from the start. If your requirement grows, talk to us and we will requote rather than surprise you.

Yes, the facility has onsite staff 24/7/365 and access can be arranged. Because it is a secure building, visits are booked in advance rather than turning up unannounced, so ask us about the current access process when you enquire and we will set expectations before you commit.

Remote hands means our team acting as your hands on site: reseating a drive, swapping a cable or power-cycling a machine so you do not have to drive to Coventry. Between that, DCIManager and your own IPMI, most day-to-day work is possible without a site visit. Tell us what level of help you expect and we will confirm what is covered.

You own the hardware, so replacement parts are yours to supply, which is the main practical difference from renting a dedicated server. What we provide is the environment around it and people on site who can act quickly. If you would rather someone else owned the failure risk entirely, a dedicated server is usually the better fit, and we will tell you so.

Colocation makes sense when you already own hardware, need a specific build you cannot rent, or run enough machines that owning them works out cheaper over their life. For one or two standard servers, renting a dedicated server is often simpler and cheaper once you account for replacement parts and your own time. Tell us your situation and we will give you a straight answer, even when it is not the colocation one.

All of our colocation is at our partner data centre in Coventry in the UK, the same facility our own platform runs from. It has N+1 UPS protection with diesel generator backup, and 24/7/365 onsite staff and security. You can read more on our Coventry data centre page.

Send us the hardware you want to rack, its power draw and the bandwidth you expect through our colocation enquiry form. We will come back with a price and a lead time, and confirm the arrangements for getting your hardware to the facility before anything is committed.
